Terms of Service

Acceptance

By creating an account, accessing Hatmada, or using the Hatmada mobile app or website, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use Hatmada.

The Service

Hatmada provides tools for daily tefillin practice, including reminders, streak tracking, photo proof submissions, automated and manual proof review, community features, collages, feedback, and consistency-based prize cycles.

Hatmada may change, pause, limit, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We may also update eligibility, review, moderation, notification, and prize-cycle rules as the app evolves.

Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 13 years old to use Hatmada. You are responsible for providing accurate account information, maintaining the security of your account, and using the app in compliance with applicable laws.

Hatmada may suspend or terminate accounts that submit fraudulent proof, abuse community features, attempt to manipulate prize cycles, violate these terms, or create risk for other users or the service.

Proof Submissions

You may submit photos as proof of tefillin practice. You represent that proof photos you submit are accurate, lawful, taken by you or with permission, and do not include inappropriate, misleading, harmful, or infringing content.

Proof submissions may be reviewed by automated systems and human moderators. Automated review can make mistakes, and Hatmada may approve, reject, retry, or route a submission to manual review. Submitting false or misleading proof may result in lost streak credit, disqualification from prize cycles, account suspension, or removal.

You grant Hatmada permission to store, process, display, resize, moderate, and use submitted proof photos as needed to provide app features, verify submissions, generate collages, support group or winner features, provide support, and enforce these terms.

Timing and Religious Use

Hatmada may provide tefillin windows, sunset-related reminders, local date handling, and calendar prompts. These features are provided as app functionality and may depend on device permissions, saved profile information, geocoding, timezone data, and third-party libraries. You are responsible for your own religious practice and should consult your rabbinic authority for halachic questions.

Community Features

If you join or create groups, post announcements, request shul or charity listings, or participate in group activity, you agree to be respectful and truthful. You may not harass others, impersonate anyone, post unlawful content, submit spam, or interfere with another user's experience.

Prize Cycle Rules

Hatmada may offer consistency-based prize cycles sponsored by Hatmada Inc. Prize cycles are intended to reward verified consistency and are subject to the rules shown in the app, these terms, and applicable law.

• No purchase, payment, or donation is required to use Hatmada or participate in prize cycles.
• Donations do not increase eligibility, odds, standing, or chances of receiving any prize.
• Eligibility may depend on account status, verified proof submissions, local date rules, missed-day allowances, manual review outcomes, and other criteria described in the app.
• Prize amounts, availability, timing, selection method, claim window, and payout process may vary by cycle.
• Hatmada may require identity, eligibility, tax, payout, or compliance information before awarding or paying a prize.
• Unclaimed, undeliverable, fraudulent, or disqualified prizes may be forfeited or reallocated.
• Prize cycles are void where prohibited or restricted by law.

Apple, Google, GoFundMe, Supabase, OpenAI, Expo, Firebase, and any other platform or service provider are not sponsors of, responsible for, or involved in Hatmada prize cycles.

Support and Fundraising

Hatmada may link to external fundraising pages, including GoFundMe, to support operations, sustainability, growth, or related mission needs. External donations are optional and are handled outside the Hatmada app by the external platform. Any external donation is governed by that platform's terms, privacy policy, fees, refunds, and support process.

Privacy

Your use of Hatmada is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, share, and delete information.

Intellectual Property

Hatmada, including the app, website, logo, text, design, software, and related materials, is owned by Hatmada Inc. or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, distribute, or exploit Hatmada except as allowed by law or with written permission.

Disclaimers

Hatmada is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that the app will always be accurate, uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hatmada Inc. disclaims all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hatmada Inc. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost streaks, lost prize opportunities, or service interruptions arising from your use of Hatmada.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in Ontario will have jurisdiction except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Hatmada after updated terms are posted means you accept the updated terms.
